Balsamic & Honey Glazed Salmon

If you're running out of ideas for a quick but tasty weeknight dinner, try this balsamic and honey glazed salmon. I love meals where I have everything on hand in my pantry and it can be made in a moments notice. This glaze is so simple but the flavors really complement each other. Also, the glaze goes well with scallops, chicken, or pork so it's really versatile. In case you're not big into carbs, instead of rice you can also serve this dish with a summery salad or some grilled asparagus.

Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets, skinless
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
pinch of chili flakes (optional)
2 tbsp. olive oil
salt and pepper

Pour the honey, balsamic vinegar, and a pinch of chili flakes, salt and pepper in a saucepan over high heat for about 8-10 minutes until it resembles a thick glaze

Heat the olive oil in a nonstick pan over high heat, season each salmon fillet with salt and pepper, then cook for 5-7 minutes each side until golden brown

Ladle the balsamic glaze into the salmon and cook for 1 minute further

Serve each salmon fillet on a plate with fluffy basmati rice
